Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli is most notably recognized for his
trademark exotic animal prints, feminine florals and overtly provocative looks.
A must-have for any socialite or fashionista worth their Louboutins, Cavalli's
creations are often the best-dressed star of any red-carpet affair. So decadent and
sexy are Cavalli's designs, the couturier was tapped by Hugh Hefner to redesign
the iconic Playboy Bunny costume, which was unveiled in 2006 at the Playboy
Club in the Palms. At the recent opening of his new boutique at Crystals, the
legendary designer shared with Las Vegas Magazine's Leslie Frisbee
what he finds so fashionable about our fabulous city.
The City
The lights, people and energy are the best in the world;
I just love Las Vegas.
Roberto Cavalli Boutique at Crystals
I love nature and color. I think we need to take better
care of our beautiful world and I love that (Crystals at
CityCenter) is concerned about the world around us.
Cirque du Soleil
Laliberté is a good friend of mine; I enjoy very much
spending time with him. I hope to see "O", again, for
the fourth time (while I'm here). For me, "O" is my
favorite; it's No. 1.
Playboy Club
Hef, he's an icon, and he asked me to redo the Playboy
Bunny costume for the Playboy Club. I made it more modern,
sexy and fashionable.
Osteria del Circo
It's an Italian restaurant, my favorite Italian restaurant; it
belongs to a very good friend of mine, Sirio Maccioni. Every time
I come to town I call Maccioni and tell him I'm coming to dinner.
Gambling
I'm not a big gambler but when I'm in Vegas I like to gamble a
little bit...it's like being in Monte Carlo.
Freedom
When you come to Vegas you are free to do what you want,
wake up when you want and go to sleep when you want; you
have more time to think about yourself.
