Jimmy Fallon's name is everywhere these days. The former Saturday Night Live cast member is set to take over Conan O'Brien's spot on NBC's Late Night beginning March 2. Until then, he's on a promotional and comedic blitz, recording video blogs (aka vlogs) on latenightwithjimmyfallon.com. In the vlogs, he answers viewer questions, talks about the upcoming show while promoting the house band, The Roots, and does what he's known for best: making us laugh. He's also bringing his act to The Joint at The Hard Rock Hotel on Jan. 9. Fallon hails from Brooklyn, N.Y., and was raised in Saugerties in upstate New York. By the time the soon-to-be comic was in second grade, he realized his power to make people laugh. He started out doing impressions of James Cagney, and later expanded his repertoire to include SNLers Steve Martin, Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi. He hit the comedy club circuit at age 17 and never looked back, soon going from SNL "featured player" in 1998 to cast member in 1999 to movie star in 2000 with Almost Famous, and Fever Pitch in 2005. Recognized by People as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People, Fallon is indeed a pretty face, but he's also so much more. See why at The Joint, and in coming months, as he enters the competitive late-night fray.
